I really like how much effort he takes in with regards to topics, as well as collaborating with other industry leaders and having these conversations. Overall, I would say it's a great experience for the speakers as well as for the audience to know all about this, about cybersecurity."

Cátia Pereira, Manager - North America, Sales Engineering, Kiteworks
"For anyone who's considering joining a TechTables event, I would say absolutely do it, especially if it's one of the live events. It is a very collegiate vibe, including the vendors. It's definitely an incredible experience. Joe is a warm personality. He makes everyone feel welcome. But the relationships that you get to build here with partners, vendors that Joe enables, it's incredible."
Jared Pane, Director, Solution Architecture at Elastic - US Public Sector (SLED)
"Hey, everybody. My name is Jared Pane, and I'm a Director for Solution Architecture at Elastic. I had an amazing time here at TechTables with Joe. We had great conversations, led to good avenues of how leadership was going to be where Elastic is on the generative AI space, and where the industry is going in general. Kendra from University of San Antonio was amazing, and I would do this all over again. It was a great time."
Mary Lou Prevost, Group Vice President | US | State Local Government and Education at Splunk
"Hi, Mary Lou Prevost! I manage our state local education vertical for Splunk, serving as a group vice president. It was a wonderful experience to be on the show. We had a good time. It was a wonderful opportunity to sit down with three amazing users of Splunk and the innovation that they are bringing out to market and a chance to really tell their story and get that out, which was a lot of fun. So great experience."
Josh Bright, CIO & Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, UCSB
"Hi, my name is Josh Bright. I'm the CIO at UC Santa Barbara. I had a wonderful experience on the TechTables podcast. It was great to connect with other leaders in technology, both in the public sector, also in industry. Joe brings a great energy to the podcast. He asks insightful questions, helps us to reflect and share about the common challenges that we're all facing and the opportunities that we have to benefit our institutions. It was a great time."
Ryan Murray, CISO, State of Arizona
"Some of the key takeaways from the event is always going to be around community and collaboration. Everything we do around here has to be done together. All of our local governments, all of our cities and counties, all of our school districts, everyone that we're working together with, we all have to come together to try to make this thing successful."
Kim Milford, CISO, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
"Hi, I'm Kim Milford, the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I just got done with the TechTables Podcast and it was a blast. I really enjoyed myself. Joe prepared us well. He was fun and lively conversationalist, and it was great meeting my colleagues from other universities and hearing about some of their innovations and passions."
Chris Chirgwin, CIO, County of Santa Barbara
"The caliber of people that are here has been wonderful. Getting to know them, build relationships, and then just the knowledge sharing. You know, just listening to these experts talk about challenges they're facing, the solutions that they're coming up with.
I was wishing that several other members of my team were here because there's just such good content and such good information that I'm picking up on, and it's more intimate, it's smaller, and the ability to have some really great dialogues and conversations and build those relationships with peers has really stood out to me, and I think would be really valuable to any CIO who is looking to improve his or her abilities and just hear from others on their journey and what they're learning."
Errika Celsy, Director of Educational Technology, Cave Creek Unified School District
"Anyone considering attending a future TechTables event, I would highly encourage it, not just for the aspect of new learning, but for networking, for being able to grow as a professional in the public sector space. I was able to interact with folks that I didn't realize were in the public sector, and that I might actually have more in common with and be able to connect with over future projects and endeavors."
Craig Woolley, CIO, Louisiana State University
"Hi, I'm Craig Woolley. I'm the Chief Information Officer at LSU. Just got done doing my TechTables Podcast and it was a fantastic time. We had great panelists. Joe had some great topics and great questions for us. Really made us dive in and think through all, in all, great experience. And I hope everybody enjoys it because it was really a lot of fun."
Dr. Timothy Winders, Deputy CIO, Purdue University
"Hello, I am Dr. Timothy Winders, Deputy CIO for the Purdue University System. I love TechTables. Joe has been an amazing host. Always provides something insightful. I love the details that he brings about how he uses technology in his everyday life and learning from other hosts. When I'm on the show is very exciting as well. Always bring something new."
Brent Byrnes, Regional Sales Manager, ExtraHop
"TechTables Live was an incredible experience for me. I had the opportunity to spend quality one-on-one time with every one of the public sector executives over there, as well as other partners that are in the vendor community, hearing directly from state and local customer executives about what's really on their mind. And as I've seen in my career in public sector, it doesn't happen overnight. Relationships don't ever happen overnight. An opportunity doesn't come to fruition overnight. It's going to take time. I use this event as a springboard to do just that, to interact over meals, looking at beautiful scenery, engaging in activities, and it's a lot more natural... it's a very unique opportunity."
Zach Rossmiller, AVP/Chief Information Officer at University of Montana
"My name is Zach Rossmiller. I'm the Chief Information Officer at the University of Montana. I love TechTables because you get a different point of view from all different sectors, whether it's public government or higher education. You know, Joe's a great host. He has a great understanding of the technology, but he has a very great way of bringing the best out of people and his presenters. Because sometimes it can get a little nerve wracking getting in front of people who are experts and trying to talk through things. And Joe makes you feel comfortable and. And can bring the best out of you. That's what I appreciate. Huge fan. Listen to podcasts all the time, and so should."
Dr. Vanessa Kenon, Associate Vice President Technology Compliance and Community Engagement, UTSA
"Hi there. I'm Vanessa Kenon, Associate Vice President of Technology, Compliance and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I'm also serving this year as the EDUCAUSE Program Chair, and it has been a delight. It was wonderful to be on the podcast today with Joe and Joe Way. I called it The Joe and Joe Show. I've been working with both Joe and Joe on different projects for over the years. So this was really a pleasure. It was fantastic to have another colleague that really, really, truly understands the importance of experiential learning, taking students to where they really, really need to be in this digital age. I think that's so important. And it was so much really good discussion during this time with the three of us about that and where students want to see their education go in the future. So it's always good to be on the Joe Toste podcast."
William Huang, Deputy Chief Information Officer, The University of Texas System
"Hi, I'm William Huang. I'm the Deputy CIO at the University of Texas System. I was just on the TechTables Podcast with Joe and it was great to be here in San Antonio in the middle of the EDUCAUSE conference while there were 7,500 attendees. It was wonderful to be able to have a small, intimate conversation with Joe and some of our HigherEd colleagues talking about Student Success and Enterprise AI an important topic in today's day and age. So how to run it full time. Thanks for having me on the podcast."
Ed Wozencroft, Vice President for Digital Strategy & CIO, New Jersey Institute of Technology
"I'm Ed Wozencroft. I'm the Vice President for Digital Strategy at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Just wrapped an awesome TechTables Podcast with colleagues from different universities, as well as Splunk, where Joe asked us some great questions. Really talking about what the future of student employment for cybersecurity, protecting our campuses from cyber, but also understanding how we're going to use data and analytics to go beyond just protecting, but really thinking about how we help and add value, add services, and just overall, really tapping into all the great things that we see here at EDUCAUSE 2024. It's been a blast. I think one of the biggest EDUCAUSE'S we've seen in a long time. Absolutely loving the energy and everything happening here right now. It's been one of the best experiences I've had in a very long."
Saby Waraich, CIO & CISO, Clackamas Community College
"Hi, my name is Saby Waraich, and I'm a Chief Information Officer and a Chief Information Security Officer at Clackamas Community College. I love to be on TechTables with Joe. And the reason for that is, first of all, we get a lot of fun doing talking about technology, talking about the things which we are passionate about, whether it's leadership, whether it's AI, whether it's automation, whether it's cybersecurity, and then being on this podcast, give me this opportunity to reach out to people. And even if I'm making a difference in one person's life, that's the impact which I'm looking forward."
Dr. Joe Way, Executive Director, Digital Spaces, UCLA
"I'm Joe Way, Executive Director of Digital Spaces at the University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA. Being on the podcast was just fun to be able to have a conversation with Vanessa and Joe and just be able to talk right from the heart of what we're working on.
